Tree sap is a thick, sticky substance that comes from trees and can easily get onto clothing. Once it's there, it can be difficult to get rid of. But with a few simple steps, you can easily remove tree sap stains from your stockings.

Instructions for Removing Tree Sap Stains from Stockings

  1. First, prepare a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water. Place the mixture in a spray bottle.
  2. Next, spray the tree sap stain with the vinegar solution. Allow solution to sit on the stain for several minutes.
  3. After the solution has had a chance to soak into the stain, use a clean cloth or sponge to gently scrub the stain with a little bit of dish soap and warm water. Be sure not to rub too hard as this can cause the stain to spread.
  4. Rinse area with clean water and repeat the process if necessary. If the stain persists, try using a commercial spot cleaner.
  5. Once stain is gone, allow the stockings to air dry before wearing them again.

Tips for Preventing Tree Sap Stains in the Future

  • Avoid getting too close to trees when wearing stockings.
  • Wash stockings immediately after wearing in order to remove any tree sap that might have come into contact with them.
  • Store stockings away from other items that may contain tree sap.
