Step 1: Gather Supplies

Whether you're dealing with fresh or dried sap, you'll need some supplies to get the job done. Gather a bucket, laundry detergent, paper towels, a scrub brush, rubbing alcohol, and a few clean rags.

Step 2: Pretreat the Stain

If the sap is still wet, start by soaking up as much of it as possible with a paper towel. If it's already dried, skip this step. Now, pretreat stain with a laundry detergent. Let the detergent sit for 10 minutes before moving on to the next step.

Step 3: Scrub the Stain

Mix a few drops of laundry detergent with some warm water in your bucket. Dip the scrub brush into soapy water and use it to scrub the stained area of your skirt. Keep scrubbing gently until you no longer see evidence of sap.

Step 4: Apply Rubbing Alcohol

Once you've finished scrubbing, spray the stain with rubbing alcohol. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then use a clean rag to blot it completely dry.

Step 5: Wash Your Skirt

It's time to bring out your trusty washing machine. Wash the skirt on the hottest setting allowed for the fabric, adding an extra rinse cycle to make sure all the soap and alcohol are removed. Dry as usual, and enjoy your good as new skirt.
