How to Safely Remove Tree Sap Stains From Silk Tussah Fabrics

Step 1: Test for Color Fastness
Before attempting to remove the tree sap stains, it is important to first test for color fastness. To do this, simply moisten a cotton swab with a small amount of rubbing alcohol and dab it onto an inconspicuous part of the garment. If the color of the fabric does not change, it is safe to proceed with removing the stain. Step 2: Blot Stain

Once you are satisfied with the results, rinse the area with cold water and pat it dry with a clean cloth.
Step 5: Let Air Dry
Finally, let the area air-dry away from direct sunlight. This helps to ensure that the stain does not set into fabric.
