Tree sap is a sticky substance that can be difficult to remove from any kind of fabric. Silk faille, a finely-woven silk fabric, is particularly susceptible to these stains. The good news is that the cleaning process is not complicated, so you can easily get rid of the sap and restore your fabric to its original condition.

What You Need To Clean Tree Sap Stains

  • White vinegar
  • Bowl
  • Water
  • Sponge
  • Soft brush

Instructions

  1. Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a bowl.
  2. Dip a sponge into solution and apply it to the stained area.
  3. Let it sit for 10 minutes and then rinse it off with cool, running water.
  4. Gently scrub the stained area with a soft brush.
  5. Rinse again with cool water and let it air dry.

If the sap stain still remains, repeat the process until it is completely gone. Once the stain has been removed, you may need to use a fabric stain remover to get rid of any lingering odors.

With a little bit of effort, you can easily clean tree sap stains from silk faille fabric and get it looking good as new!
