To remove tree sap from silk crepe de chine, you'll need to use a combination of liquid soap, rubbing alcohol, and nail polish remover.

What You'll Need:

  • Liquid detergent
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Nail polish remover
  • Clean cloth
  • Water

How to Clean Tree Sap from Silk Crepe de Chine:

  1. Gently scrape off any excess sap from the fabric with a dull knife or butter knife.
  2. Dampen a clean white cloth with some liquid detergent and gently dab affected area.
  3. Mix equal parts isopropyl alcohol and water and use this solution to dab the stain once more.
  4. If the stain persists, try using nail polish remover (non-acetone) on the affected area.
  5. Continuously dab the affected spot until sap is gone.
  6. Rinse the fabric with cold water and let it air-dry.
