When tree sap gets onto clothing like a rash guard, it can dry out and become almost impossible to get off. The most important thing when dealing with tree sap is to start cleaning it as soon as possible. Here's how to clean tree sap stains from your rash guard:

  • Gently scrape or brush off any excess sap with a soft plastic spatula or toothbrush.
  • If there is still some sap left on the fabric, apply a few drops of dish soap directly to the sap stain, then work it into the fabric.
  • Rinse off the soap with cold water and allow your rash guard to air dry. Avoid using a hair dryer, as this could set the stain.
  • If you still see some sap residue on your rash guard after rinsing, rub ice cubes over area to harden sap before scraping it off again.
  • For stubborn sap stains, you can also try gently rubbing rubbing alcohol into the affected area.
  • Once the sap has been completely removed, wash your rash guard according to the care instructions.

With the right cleaning techniques, it's easy to remove tree sap stains from rash guards. Just be sure to act quickly, as the longer the sap has to dry, harder it will be to get off.
