Removing Tree Sap from Pencil Skirt

  1. Start by parsing away any sap that is still wet and stuck on the fabric.
  2. Mix one tablespoon of laundry detergent in one cup of lukewarm water.
  3. Dip a soft cloth in the detergent solution, then wring it out so it's damp but not dripping.
  4. Using the damp cloth, gently blot area where the tree sap stain is located.
  5. If the sap isn't coming off, you can also try using a dab of white vinegar instead of the detergent solution.
  6. Continue to gently rub stained area until the stain starts to lift.
  7. Once the sap is gone, rinse the fabric with lukewarm water and allow it to air dry.

Caring For Pencil Skirt After Cleaning

Once the pencil skirt is free of tree sap stains, it's important to properly care for the fabric so it stays looking its best. Hang the skirt from a clothes hanger and store it in a cool, dry place. Avoid putting skirt in direct sunlight or heat as this can fade color or shrink the fabric.

If the skirt is made of delicate materials such as silk or rayon, hang it in a cotton garment bag and keep it away from bright lights. Also, avoid laundering skirt too often. This will help preserve the fabric and keep it looking new.
