The first step to removing tree sap stains is to make sure you have the right supplies. You'll need dish soap, warm water, a scrub brush, and a cloth. Depending on the type of surfaces you're cleaning, you might also need an acid-based cleaner and protective gear, such as gloves and eyewear.
Mix together dish soap and warm water in a bucket or spray bottle. Make sure to use gentle, non-abrasive soap. If you're dealing with particularly stubborn tree sap stains, you may want to opt for an acid-based cleaner, such as white vinegar or citrus cleaner.
Once you have your soapy solution ready, use a scrub brush to scrub away the sap stains. Start gently and slowly increase the pressure as needed. Work in small sections at a time and move slowly. Once sap has been removed, rinse area with clean water using the cloth.
If the tree sap stains remain after the initial scrubbing, repeat Steps 2 and 3 as many times as necessary. Keep in mind that an acid-based cleaner might be more effective in removing stubborn stains.
