What you will need:
- Soft cloth
- Gently detergent/Dish soap
- Warm water
- White vinegar
- Rubbing alcohol
Instructions:
- Using a soft cloth, carefully scrape off any excess sap or residue from the organza fabric.
- Mix a solution of 1 tablespoon of gentle detergent/dish soap in 1 pint of warm water and apply it directly to the sap stain.
- Gently rub the area until the stain starts to lift.
- If the stain still persists, mix equal parts of white vinegar and warm water and apply it to the sap stain.
- Allow the solution to soak into the fabric for about 15 minutes.
- Rinse off with warm water.
- If the sap stain remains, apply rubbing alcohol to the sap stain.
- Allow it to sit for 5 minutes and then rinse with warm water.
- Air dry or lay flat under a towel to dry.
Tips:
- It is best to treat tree sap stains as soon as possible. The longer they are left, the harder they are to remove.
- Be very careful not to scrub the sap stain too harshly, as this could damage the fabric.
- Make sure to test a small, hidden area first to make sure the fabric is not damaged by the cleaning solutions.
