Removing Tree Sap Stains from Muslin

  • First, scrape off any excess sap with a plastic knife or spoon.
  • Next, fill a bowl with warm water and a few drops of dish soap or detergent and mix it until the mixture is foamy.
  • Then, soak the muslin in the mixture for 10-15 minutes.
  • Once the fabric is soaked, use a soft bristle brush to gently scrub the sap stain.
  • Repeat this step a few times until the sap stain has been removed.
  • Finally, rinse off the remaining soap with cold water and allow fabric to air dry.

Tips & Tricks

  • If the sap stain does not come out after a few attempts, try pre-treating the fabric with a stain removal product.
  • If stain still persists, take the fabric to a professional dry cleaner.
  • For tough spots, you may need to use a rag or towel to apply extra pressure.
  • Make sure to test any cleaning products on a small, hidden area of the fabric before using them on entire garment.
