Before you start cleaning, you will need to gather the following materials:
The first thing you will want to do is to use a white cotton towel to try and blot away as much of the sap stain as possible. Be careful not to rub too hard as this could cause the sap to spread further.
Once you have blotted away as much of sap as you can, you will then want to use vinegar and baking soda to create a paste. Apply the paste to sap stain and allow it to sit for about 15 minutes before blotting it away with a damp towel.
If you are still having trouble getting rid of stain, you can take a cotton swab and dip it in some isopropyl alcohol. Once again, dab stain with the alcohol and allow it to sit for about 15 minutes before blotting it away with a damp towel.
Depending on how deep the sap stain is, you may need to repeat the process several times before the stain is completely gone. Be sure to check stain after each attempt to see if more is needed.
Getting rid of tree sap stains from mattresses does not have to be a difficult or time-consuming task. Just follow the steps above and you should be able to easily remove the stain in no time at all!
