Using a butter or a table knife, scrape off any excess tree sap from the jeans. Do this gently, as you don't want to damage the fabric. You can also use a hard-bristled brush but be gentle.
Gently rub a laundry detergent directly onto the sap stained area. Make sure to rub in both directions, so that the fabric doesn't become damaged. Lather up the detergent with your hands and rinse it off with water.
Mix a cup of white vinegar with a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid. Mix it well until it forms a paste. Gently rub paste into the sap stains and leave it for five minutes to soak. Rinse off the paste with cold water.
Put the jeans in the washing machine using the delicate cycle and cold water. Use a mild liquid detergent. Once the washing is done, air-dry your jeans. Do not put them in the dryer as heat may cause the sap to set in further.
