Nothing ruins a beloved hoodie like an ugly tree sap stain. Getting rid of the stain can seem difficult, but with the right ingredients, you can eliminate the sap without damaging your favorite piece of clothing.

What You'll Need

• Dish soap
• WD-40
• Paper towels or cloth
• Laundry detergent

Getting Rid of Tree Sap Stains

1. Before you start cleaning the hoodie, lay a paper towel on the back of the fabric to protect the inside of the hoodie from getting stained.
2. Mix one tablespoon of dish soap with one cup of cold water.
3. Dab the mixture onto the tree sap stain using a paper towel or cloth.
4. Leave for 10-15 minutes.
5. Using a fresh paper towel, dab the area dry.
6. If there is still a stain, spray WD-40 onto the area.
7. Wait for a few minutes then scrub area with a cloth until the stain is gone.
8. Rinse the area with cold water.
9. Using laundry detergent, wash the hoodie following the instructions on the label.
10. Air dry the hoodie.
