The first step is to pre-treat the area with some dish soap. Start by wetting stain with lukewarm water. Then, apply a few drops of dish soap directly onto sap stain. Rub the dish soap into the material using a clean cloth.
To remove the sap from the fabric, mix together two parts white vinegar to one part lukewarm water. Soak a clean cloth or sponge in the mixture and then rub the stained area. You may need to repeat this a few times to fully remove sap.
Once you have finished rubbing area with the vinegar and water mixture, rinse off the garment with cold water. Make sure that all the remaining vinegar has been washed away.
If there are still visible traces of sap on the clothing, mix up one part rubbing alcohol to two parts cold water. Use a clean cloth to gently rub the area with the rubbing alcohol and water solution. Rinse garment again with cold water and hang dry.
