- Q-tips
Step 1: Rinse the Stained Area with Cold Water
The first step to removing sap stains is to rinse the area with cold water and mild dish soap. This helps loosen sap and make it easier to remove.
Step 2: Soak the Stained Area in a Vinegar Solution
Mix one part vinegar with two parts cold water and then soak the stained area for 10 minutes. This will help dissolve any remaining sap residue.
Step 3: Scrub the Stained Area with a Toothbrush
Using a clean toothbrush, scrub the stained area in circular motions to help further break down the sap. Rinse the toothbrush often to ensure you're not spreading the sap around.
Step 4: Blot the Stained Area with a Paper Towel
Once you have finished scrubbing, use a paper towel to blot the area. This will help remove any leftover sap residue.
Step 5: Apply a Cotton Ball Soaked with Vinegar
For stubborn stains, apply a cotton ball soaked with vinegar to the stained area and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse with cold water.
Step 6: Use a Q-tip to Clean Harder-to-Reach Areas
Finally, use a Q-tip to clean any harder-to-reach areas. This will help ensure all traces of sap are removed.
And you're done!
Follow these steps and you'll have your hanbok looking good as new in no time!
