Eliminate Sticky Tree Sap from Georgette the Easy Way

Tree sap is sticky and difficult to remove from fabrics, but it doesn’t have to be a headache. With the right steps, you can easily and safely remove tree sap stains from georgette fabrics.

What You Need:

  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Toothbrush or soft-bristled brush
  • Dry cleaning solvent
  • Cloth or cotton swab

Instructions:

  1. Use a knife to scrape off any excess tree sap from fabric.
  2. Saturate a cloth or cotton swab with rubbing alcohol and gently rub it into the affected area of the fabric.
  3. If the stain is more severe, you can gently scrub the affected area with a toothbrush or soft-bristled brush.
  4. Repeat the rubbing alcohol and brushing process until the stain has been removed.
  5. Apply a dry cleaning solvent to the affected area and let sit for 15 minutes.
  6. Gently scrub the stain with a toothbrush or soft-bristled brush, then rinse thoroughly with cool water.
  7. Allow fabric to air dry, then check to see if the stain has been completely removed.

Tips:

  • For stubborn stains, repeat this process as needed.
  • Be sure to test any chemicals in an inconspicuous area before using on fabric.
  • Always spot clean using gentlest method first.
