How To Remove Tree Sap From Flip Flops
- If the sap is still wet, you can use a soft cloth or sponge to gently blot off as much of sap as you can.
- Mix a solution of liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water, then soak a cloth or sponge in the solution. Wring out the excess liquid so cloth isn't dripping. Use the cloth to wipe down the remaining sap. Make sure to start at the edges and work your way towards the center.
- If the sap is still stubbornly sticking to the fabric, try sprinkling baking soda onto the stain. Rub it in with a bit of pressure using a clean, dry cloth. Leave it for a few minutes then brush away the baking soda before wiping down with a damp cloth.
- If there are still some residual stains, you can use white vinegar. Pour a generous amount over the area and let it sit for several minutes. Use a soft cloth to gently scrub until stain lifts away. Rinse off with clean water when finished.
- Pat flip flops dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.
