What You'll Need

  • Mild detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Cotton swabs
  • Soft cloth
  • Nail polish remover (optional)

Instructions

  1. Always test any cleaning solution or method in an inconspicuous spot on your shoes before using, such as on the underside of the sole of the shoe.
  2. Mix one part mild detergent with two parts water, and gently scrub the affected area with a soft cloth.
  3. If the sap hasn't been completely removed, add a few drops of white vinegar to the cloth, and rub the stain in a circular motion.
  4. Saturate a cotton swab with nail polish remover, and dab the sap until it's gone.
  5. Once the sap is removed, rinse off the area with cold water and let it air dry before wearing.

With right cleaning technique, you can successfully get rid of sap stains and keep your Fila shoes looking great.
