Materials Needed
- Cotton twill fabric with sap stain
- White vinegar
- Gentle dish soap
- Fine cloth or sponge
Instructions
- Mix together equal parts white vinegar and gentle dish soap in a bowl.
- Dampen a fine cloth or a sponge in the mixture and gently blot the sap stain with dampened cloth.
- Once the sap stain has been blotted off, rinse the area with room temperature water.
- Gently blot the area again with a dry cotton cloth until the stain is completely removed.
- Make sure to rinse and launder the fabric regularly to ensure that all sap residue is removed.
Tips & Tricks
- Test the area of the fabric with cleaning solution first to make sure the color won’t fade.
- Always work from the outside of the stain towards the middle to avoid spreading the stain.
- Be sure to keep fabric flat while applying the cleaning solution to avoid drips.
- If the stain still persists, repeat the steps above until it’s completely gone.
