What You'll Need:

  • Rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover
  • A soft cloth or paper towel
  • Dish soap
  • Baking soda and water

Step 1: Pre-Treat the Stain

Begin by dampening a small, clean cloth or soft paper towel with rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover. Then, gently dab the stained area in small circular motions until the sap is slightly softened. Be careful not to rub too vigorously, as this may cause the stain to spread.

Step 2: Wash the Fabric

Once the sap has softened, rinse the garment with warm water. Then, apply a few drops of liquid dish soap to the stained area and rub it in gently with your fingers. Finally, rinse the garment again with warm water.

Step 3: Spot Clean the Garment

If any residue remains, mix baking soda and water together to make a thick paste, then apply it to the stained area. Gently massage paste into the fabric and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Finally, rinse off paste with warm water.

Step 4: Air-Dry the Garment

For best results, hang the garment up to air-dry. Do not put the garment in the dryer—the heat may cause the sap to set, making it more difficult to remove.
