Instructions

  1. Start by taking the cashmere garment and placing it on a flat surface.
  2. Sprinkle corn starch or talcum powder onto the tree sap stain.
  3. Allow the powder to sit on the stain for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Take a clean cloth and dampen it with warm water.
  5. Gently rub the cloth on the powder to loosen the stain.
  6. Once the stain has been removed, dab the area with a fresh cloth dipped in lukewarm water.
  7. Lay the garment out on a towel and allow it to air dry.
  8. Once completely dry, steam the garment to restore its softness.

Tips

  • Be gentle with the cashmere garment while scrubbing the tree sap stain, as cashmere is delicate and can easily be damaged.
  • If tree sap stain is particularly stubborn, repeat the above steps again as necessary.
  • Dry cleaning should be a last resort as it can damage the fabric.
