What You'll Need:

  • Dish soap
  • White vinegar
  • Soft cloth
  • Clean white rag
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Towel

Step One: Apply Dish Soap

Start by removing as much of the excess sap as possible with a soft cloth. Then, squirt some dish liquid onto remaining sap and use a wet cloth to rub the area in a circular motion.

Step Two: Use Vinegar and Water

Pour a little vinegar into a bowl filled with water and mix until it’s well blended. Dip a clean white rag into the vinegar solution and wring out the excess water. Gently rub the stained area with vinegar soaked rag. Try not to rub too hard and aggressive, as you don’t want to damage the fabric.

Step Three: Rubbing Alcohol

If the vinegar and water didn’t completely remove sap, try rubbing rubbing alcohol on the area. Dip a clean white cloth into a bowl with rubbing alcohol and gently blot the sap stain. If the stain is still there, apply more rubbing alcohol until it fades away.

Step Four: Rinse and Dry

Once sap has been successfully removed, rinse the area off with cold water and pat it dry with a towel. Make sure that the area is completely dry before storing the item.
