Start by gently brushing away any excess sap with a scrub brush. Be sure to dab, rather than rub the fabric to avoid spreading the stain. Once you’ve removed as much sap as possible, you can move on to the next step.
Apply pre-treatment stain remover to the area and allow it to sit for 10–15 minutes. After pre-treating the fabric, rinse it thoroughly with cold water. This helps push the tree sap deeper into the fibers of the fabric, making it easier to remove the stain.
Fill a sink or bucket with hot water and laundry detergent. Let the stained fabric soak for 15–20 minutes. Use a soft brush to gently agitate the fabric and help loosen any remaining tree sap. Once the stain has been removed, rinse the fabric with cold water and allow it to air dry.
