The first step is to use ice to freeze the sap and make it easier to remove. Simply hold an ice cube or two against sap for around a minute until it has hardened. Once sap has been frozen, you should be able to easily peel or scrape it off.
Next, you'll want to apply a cleaning solution or stain remover to stain. One good option is to use a mixture of laundry detergent and cold water. Mix a tablespoon of laundry detergent with a cup of cold water and then using a sponge, gently work the solution into the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing the solution off the garment with cool water.
When the stain has been rinsed off, you will want to machine-wash the garment on a gentle cycle by itself. After washing, let it air dry so that any remaining residue does not set into the fabric.
If any traces of the stain remain after you have followed above steps, you can repeat the process until it is completely gone. You may also want to try using a mild abrasive such as baking soda or toothpaste to help loosen any stubborn residue.
Cleaning tree sap stains off of your Aeropostale clothes can be a challenge, but it doesn't have to be! By following steps outlined above, you should be able to easily and quickly remove the sap and restore your garment to its original condition.
