Step 1: Blot the Stain

Gently blot any excess toothpaste residue off of the fabric. Do not rub or scrub the stain as this could spread it and make it more difficult to remove.

Step 2: Pre-treat with Detergent

Create a mixture of detergent and warm water, and use a soft brush or cloth to apply the solution to the stained area. Allow the pre-treater to sit for up to 30 minutes before moving onto next step.

Step 3: Rinse and Machine Wash

Rinse pre-treated area with cool water. Then place the item in the washing machine and select a gentle cycle setting with cold water. Be sure to use a detergent specially formulated for delicate clothing such as yoga pants.

Step 4: Repeat as Needed

If the stain has not been completely removed after the first wash, then repeat the process again. You may need to do multiple washes before stain is completely removed.

Final Notes

Be sure to check the care label on your yoga pants to make sure that you are using the appropriate cleaning techniques. Also, when brushing or blotting the stained areas, take care not to damage the fabric. With the proper cleaning techniques, stiff and stubborn toothpaste stains can be removed from yoga pants.
