When toothpaste stains appear on your workwear, act quickly! Using a damp sponge to dab away excess toothpaste as soon as you notice the stain is the key to effective stain removal. If there is still a residue or discoloration after dabbing, you can test different stain removers or home remedies.
Mix one teaspoon of detergent with one tablespoon of shaving cream. Use a clean cloth or soft brush to work the mixture into the stained area. Let the mixture sit for up to 15 minutes. After allotted time, blot stained area with a wet cloth. Rinse with warm water and let the item air dry.
In a small bowl, mix together one teaspoon of baking soda and one tablespoon of white vinegar. Apply mixture onto the stained area and let it sit for up to 20 minutes. Dab mixture with a damp cloth and rinse with warm water. Air dry.
Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice and two tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide in a bowl. Apply the mixture onto the stained area using a soft brush and let it sit for up to 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and air dry.
Mix one teaspoon of ammonia with two teaspoons of salt to create a paste. Apply the paste to the stained area and let it sit for up to 20 minutes. Afterwards, rinse the area with warm water and let the item air dry.
Toothpaste stains on workwear may seem like a difficult problem to overcome but with the right methods, it can be done quickly and easily. Use a damp sponge to dab away excess toothpaste as soon as you notice stain, and then try using detergent and shaving cream, white vinegar and baking soda, lemon juice and hydrogen peroxide, or ammonia and salt to remove the stain.
