What You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • Lint-free cloth or paper towels
  • Cool water

Instructions

  1. Blot the stained area using a lint-free cloth or a paper towel. Be sure to blot gently and avoid rubbing it, as this can spread stain.
  2. Mix together two tablespoons of white vinegar and one cup of cool water in a bowl.
  3. Using a clean cloth, apply the vinegar and water solution to stained area.
  4. Allow it to sit for about five minutes before blotting the area again with a dry cloth.
  5. Repeat this process until stain is gone.

Additional Tips

  • If the stain persists, try using a mild detergent solution instead of the vinegar and water solution.
  • Be sure to read the care instructions on the label of the fabric before applying any type of solution.
  • Once the stain is gone, allow area to air-dry completely before putting the fabric back into use.
