Toothpaste stains can form when you don't put a towel or napkin between your mouth and the fabric, or due to dry brushing of fabric. The key to removing these stains is to act quickly, as it would be much more difficult if they are allowed to set in. Here are five easy tips to help you get rid of those pesky toothpaste stains:
- Use detergent and water: First, mix a few drops of liquid detergent in a cup of cold water, and then apply it to the stained area with a sponge, blotting gently. Rinse the sponge and repeat this process until the stain has been removed.
- Apply white vinegar: Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a bowl, and moisten a cotton ball or cloth with the solution. Dab it on the stained area, allowing it to sit for about an hour before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.
- Try baking soda: Mix baking soda and water together to create a paste, and then spread it over the toothpaste stain. Leave it on until it dries completely, then brush it off with a soft cloth.
- Soak with liquid dish detergent: Soak the stained area in liquid dish detergent for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.
- Remove excess toothpaste: If you've already let the stain set in, use a damp cloth to remove as much of excess toothpaste as possible before treating fabric.
With these simple steps, you can easily get rid of toothpaste stains from your tussah fabric. Remember, the sooner you start treating the stain, the easier it will be to remove it.
