There's nothing worse than getting ready to leave the house in the morning, only to see a bright white toothpaste stain on your shirt. Whether it's from an accidental spill or someone brushing their teeth too close to your clothes, toothpaste is notoriously tough to get out of fabrics. Fortunately, with a few household items, you can easily remove the stain and move on with your day.
What You Will Need
To get rid of a toothpaste stain on your shirt, you will need:
- A bucket
- Warm water
- Dishwashing liquid
- A sponge
- Baking soda
- White vinegar
Steps to Follow
- Fill bucket halfway with warm water. Add a few drops of dishwashing liquid and stir together with sponge.
- Soak the stained area of the shirt in the full solution for 10 minutes.
- Remove the shirt from the solution, and gently scrub stained area with the sponge. The stain should start to come up.
- If some of stain remains, create a paste of baking soda and vinegar. Spread the paste onto area, let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse.
- Launder shirt as usual.
