What You'll Need
- A damp cloth
- A small bowl
- Liquid laundry detergent
- White vinegar
Steps to Remove the Stain
- Start by dampening the cloth with warm water.
- Starting at the edges of the stained area, dab at stain with the cloth until it starts to slowly fade away.
- Mix two parts detergent with one part white vinegar in a small bowl.
- Using the cloth, apply the detergent mixture to the stain and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
- Once the mixture has soaked into the stain, rinse with warm water.
- Be sure to rinse until all of the detergent is gone.
- Finally, dry the area with a towel.
Additional Tips
- If the stain doesn't come out completely on the first try, repeat steps 2-7.
- Test any cleaner or chemical on an inconspicuous spot before applying directly to the stained area.
- If possible, hang the garment to air dry instead of using a dryer.
