1. Treat as Soon as Possible

When it comes to removing stains like toothpaste, you’ll have the best chance of success if you treat them right away. The longer the stain sits, the harder it will be to remove.

2. Pre-Treat Stain with a Laundry Detergent

Use a detergent that is especially formulated for fighting tough stains. Work it into the stain with a scrub brush or a toothbrush and let it sit for several minutes.

3. Rinse with Cold Water

Rinse the area with cold water until the detergent has been removed.

4. Apply Hydrogen Peroxide or White Vinegar

Apply a few drops of hydrogen peroxide or white vinegar directly onto the stain. Allow it to sit for a few minutes and then rinse with cold water.

5. Blot the Area with a Wet Cloth

For larger or harder-to-remove stains, use a wet cloth to blot the area and help lift stain.

6. Use an All-Natural Cleaning Solution

If the stain persists, try using an all-natural cleaning solution such as baking soda mixed with water. Apply the paste directly to stain and then rinse with cold water.

7. Launder in the Washing Machine

Once the stain is gone, launder your sweatshirt as usual. Air-dry it for best results.
