- Detergent
- White vinegar
- Stain remover
- White rag
Step-by-Step Guide
- Blot stained area gently with a white rag or paper towel to remove as much of the toothpaste stain as possible.
- Mix 1 tablespoon of detergent with 2 cups of warm water. Dampen a white rag in the solution and blot the stain until it starts to lift.
- Mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar with 1 cup of warm water. Dampen a fresh white rag in this solution and blot stained area to remove any remaining residue.
- If the stain persists, gently rub in a stain remover following the directions on the packaging. Soak the sweater in cold water for 20 minutes and then launder as normal.
