The first and most important step is to quickly blot the stain with a clean, white cloth. This will help prevent stain from spreading outwards. Start by pressing cloth gently into the spot and gradually increase pressure as needed.
Once the stain has been blotted, you'll need to pre-treat it with a laundry detergent that is specifically designed for delicate fabrics. Liberally apply the detergent to the stained area and let it sit for several minutes. Then, use a damp cloth to lightly scrub at area.
Next, rinse the fabric with cold water until the suds from the detergent have been washed away. Afterwards, repeat steps one and two until the stain has been completely removed.
Once you've finished pre-treating the stain, it's time for a trip to the washing machine. Put your suit into the machine and set it to a delicate cycle, using only warm water and a mild laundry detergent. Once the cycle is complete, check to make sure that the stain has been removed.
Finally, remove the suit from the washing machine and lay it flat to air dry. Do not place it in the dryer, as this could cause shrinkage or damage the fabric. Once suit is dry, press it with a warm iron to smooth out any wrinkles.
