Start by lightly blotting the stained area with a damp cloth. This will help to clear away any chunks of dried toothpaste and start to loosen stain. Be careful not to rub too hard in order to avoid spreading the stain further.
Spray a good amount of pre-wash detergent directly onto the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes. This will work to further loosen any remaining bits of toothpaste and provide an extra boost for getting stain out.
Place the skirt into a washing machine set on a cold, gentle cycle and add a mild detergent. Run the cycle as usual, then check for stains before drying.
If any stains remain after washing, try using a specific stain remover or a mix of vinegar and water on the area. Use a damp cloth to apply the solution and blot gently, then wash the skirt again.
Once all of the stains are removed, lay the skirt out flat and allow it to air dry. Avoid putting the skirt in dryer, as this could cause the stain to set permanently.
Toothpaste stains on skirts may seem like a lost cause, but they don't have to be! With a little time, patience and the right approach, these pesky stains can be easily removed.
