How to Easily Clean Toothpaste Stains from Skirts
Accidentally spilling toothpaste on your favorite skirt can be a disaster. But don’t give up hope! Here are some tips for easily removing these pesky stains.

Step 1: Rinse the Stain in Cold Water
If the stain is still wet, the best thing you can do is get it under cold running water right away. This will help remove some of the toothpaste before it’s fully absorbed into the fabric.
Step 2: Apply a Stain Remover
There are many commercial stain treatments that can help with stubborn toothpaste stains. Simply follow the instructions listed on the package, and use a soft brush to gently rub the treatment into stain.
Step 3: Wash the Skirt as Normal
Once the any stain removers have been applied to the affected area, it should be washed as normal. Be sure to separate whites and colors in the washing machine, and check the stain when it comes out to ensure it has been completely removed before drying it.
Tips for Preventing Toothpaste Stains
- Always be careful when applying toothpaste. Check that the lid is on tight so that it doesn’t spill or splatter.
- Keep toothpaste away from your clothes. This includes being mindful when brushing your teeth in the bathroom.
- If you do happen to get toothpaste on your clothing, rinse it off right away with cold water.
