What You'll Need

  • Cold water
  • Mild soap
  • Clean cloths
  • Hydrogen peroxide (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Soak affected area of the fabric in cold water for 10 minutes.
  2. Blot the area with a damp cloth using mild soap. Do not scrub or rub, as this could cause further damage to fabric.
  3. Rinse the soap from the fabric with cold water and then blot it with a clean cloth until dry.
  4. If necessary, you can also try removing toothpaste stain with hydrogen peroxide. Blot the area with a cloth soaked in hydrogen peroxide, then rinse with cold water and blot dry.

Additional Tips

  • Always test an inconspicuous area of the fabric first when using hydrogen peroxide and other cleaning agents. This will ensure that the fabric does not suffer any harm from them.
  • If the stain persists even after following all these steps, you should seek the help of a professional dry cleaner as soon as possible.
  • Make sure to read and follow any instructions on the fabric's care label.
