Use a dry cloth to blot away any excess toothpaste from the stain. This will help to prevent further staining of the material.
Mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water and apply it directly to the stained area. Allow it to sit for about 10 minutes and then use a clean cloth to blot up the solution. Repeat this process until the stain has faded away.
Once stain has been removed, rinse the area with cool water and then air dry. Do not put the silk satin into a tumble dryer as this could cause shrinkage.
