Toothpaste spills on clothing can be difficult to remove, especially when the fabric is delicate. Silk fabric is especially prone to staining and needs to be handled with special care. Here are some tips to help you get toothpaste stains out of silk gauze fabric:

Step 1: Absorb Stain

The first step to cleaning a toothpaste stain is to absorb as much of the spill as possible. Using a paper towel or washcloth, gently blot the stain until no more liquid can be removed.

Step 2: Create a Cleaning Solution

Mix one tablespoon of mild dishwashing detergent with two cups of cold water. You can also add a few drops of white vinegar for extra cleaning power.

Step 3: Test Fabric for Colorfastness

Before applying the cleaning solution, test an inconspicuous area of fabric for colorfastness. Dip a cotton swab into cleaning solution and apply it to the spot. If the color of the fabric does not change, then you are safe to proceed.

Step 4: Apply the Cleaning Solution

Gently dab the cleaning solution onto the stain using a cloth or paper towel. Do not rub or scrub the stain; instead, work in a circular motion to gently lift the stain.

Step 5: Rinse with Cold Water

Once the stain has been lifted, rinse the area with cold water. Blot the fabric dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.

Step 6: Allow Fabric to Air Dry

Once the fabric has been completely rinsed and blotted dry, allow it to air dry. Do not place the fabric in a dryer; the heat can set stain.
