Don't despair if you've noticed teethpaste stains on your shorts – you can easily remove them without causing further damage. You will need a few supplies such as a small bucket or bowl, vinegar, detergent and a dull knife, but it doesn't take long to get the job done.
Fill a small bowl or bucket with about two cups of warm water and add one cup of white vinegar. Submerge the stained area of shorts and let it soak for five minutes before proceeding to the next step.
Use a dull kitchen knife (not a sharp one!) to gently scrape away at the toothpaste stain. Be careful not to apply too much pressure as this could damage your clothing.
Next, fill a sink or basin with some cold water and add a mild detergent. Let the shorts soak for ten minutes and then rinse them off with cold water.
Once the shorts are clean, hang them up on a clothesline or towel rack and let them air dry. Avoid using a dryer to dry the shorts since this could cause the stain to set.
Cleaning toothpaste stains from shorts is not as intimidating as it may sound. Follow the steps outlined above and you'll be able to restore your shorts to their original luster. And remember – don't use a sharp knife to scrape away at the stains!
