Toothpaste stains can be tricky to remove, but with a few simple steps, you can have your shirt looking as good as new! Here’s what to do:

  • Treat the stain immediately. The more you wait, the harder it will be to remove stain.
  • Rinse the stain in cold water for several minutes. This helps to break up toothpaste residue.
  • Mix one part liquid detergent with two parts warm water and dip a clean cloth or soft brush in the solution. Gently dab the stained area with the cloth or brush.
  • Allow the garment to air dry or rinse out the detergent solution and tumble dry on low or no heat.
  • Repeat steps 2-4 until the stain is gone.

That’s it! With some patience and persistence, you’ll have that pesky toothpaste stain gone in no time.

Now, if you want to be extra sure that your shirt isn’t left with a stain, you can use a pre-wash stain remover. Apply the remover to the stained area, let it sit for at least 15 minutes, and then wash as usual.

Keep in mind that you should never let the toothpaste dry on the fabric, which could set the stain and make it impossible to remove.
