Step 1: Rinse the Stain with Cold Water

Start by rinsing toothpaste stain with cold water. This should help to reduce the stain and get rid of any residue.

Step 2: Gently Brush Away Excess Debris

Using a soft-bristled toothbrush, gently brush away any excess debris from the stain. Be careful not to scrub too hard, as this could damage the fabric.

Step 3: Create a DIY Stain Remover

Mix together 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, 1 teaspoon of dish soap, and 1 cup of warm water. Then, transfer the mixture to a spray bottle, and lightly spray the stained area.

Step 4: Let the Mixture Sit

Let the mixture sit on the stain for around 15 minutes before scrubbing it off with a soft-bristled toothbrush.

Step 5: Put the Dress In Washing Machine

Once stain has been removed, put the shift dress into washing machine. Use a gentle cycle and cold water, and add a handful of laundry detergent.

Step 6: Let the Dress Air Dry

Once the dress has finished running through washing cycle, let it air dry. Avoid putting the dress in the dryer as this could shrink or damage the fabric.
