Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Remove any excess toothpaste from the scarf by dabbing it with a tissue or paper towel.
  2. Run the material under cold water and massage it gently to loosen the stain. Don’t rub it, as this can cause the stain to spread.
  3. Rinse again with cold water and add a few drops of a mild detergent. Gently swirl the scarf around in the water for a few minutes.
  4. Rinse again in cold water and lay flat on a towel to dry.

Additional Tips

  • Use a light-colored cloth to avoid accidental color transfer.
  • Do not use hot water, as this could cause the stain to set.
  • Do not rub the stained area, as this will make the stain worse.
  • If the stain persists, try using a laundry pretreatment spray or a special stain remover.
  • If all else fails, take the item to a professional cleaner for help.
