No one enjoys dealing with stains, especially when they occur on delicate fabrics like Peau de Soie. Toothpaste can often cause stubborn, difficult-to-remove stains on this material, and you may be feeling at a loss for how to efficiently clean them up.

Luckily, getting rid of toothpaste stains on Peau de Soie calls for some simple household products and a few steps that won’t take much of your time. Here's how you should go about it:
The first step is to dab the spot as soon as possible with an absorbent cloth or white paper towel. Blot the spot gently in a circular motion and don’t scrub. This will help to absorb the excess paste. Don’t use colored towels or materials since the color may transfer onto the fabric.
Fill a container with warm water and add a few drops of mild liquid detergent. Soak the stained area for about 30 minutes, gently agitating the fabric every few minutes. You can also try adding a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts water if stain does not disappear with just the detergent.
Once the stain has soaked for around 30 minutes, rinse the fabric with cold water and blot the area with a clean, absorbent cloth. Let the piece air dry or use a hand-held hair dryer to dry it. If the stain is still visible, you can repeat these steps until it has been removed.
