Most of us get ready for bed with a routine that involves brushing our teeth. But sometimes, this can take a wrong turn when toothpaste drips onto clothing. Toothpaste is an acidic material, and when it comes into contact with fabric its abrasive qualities can cause stubborn stains.

Removing Toothpaste Stains from Pajamas

To remove toothpaste stains from clothing, you will need the following:

  • White vinegar
  • Dish soap
  • Baking soda
  • Old toothbrush

Follow the steps below in order to remove the stain effectively:

  1. Mix one tablespoon of dish soap and two tablespoons of white vinegar in a small bowl with a cup of warm water.
  2. Immerse the stained area of pajamas in mixture for about 30 minutes.
  3. Create a thick paste by mixing baking soda and warm water.
  4. Using an old toothbrush, scrub the paste onto stained area.
  5. Allow the paste to sit on the stain for 10 minutes.
  6. Rinse the pajamas thoroughly in cold water.
  7. Repeat the above process as needed until the stain is gone.

Once the stain has been removed, launder pajamas as usual. If the stain is still present after laundering, repeat the process.
