What You'll Need

  • Soft cloth or rag
  • Mild laundry detergent or dishwashing soap
  • Clean water
  • Toothbrush
  • Optional: Stain remover

Step 1: Clean off the Excess

Remove any excess toothpaste with a rag or soft cloth. You can even use a toothbrush to gently scrub away the stain. Be sure not to press too hard, as this may cause the material to fray.

Step 2: Use Soap

Immerse the cloth in a solution of mild laundry detergent or dishwashing soap and clean water. Gently rub the stained area with the cloth. Rinse with water once done.

Step 3: Air Dry

Leave shoe to air dry. Check on it periodically to make sure that the area is completely dry. If the stain persists, you can use a stain remover specifically designed for fabrics.
