What You Will Need

  • Dish Soap
  • White Vinegar
  • Baking Soda
  • Sponge
  • Soft Cloth or Brush

Steps to Follow

  1. Mix a few drops of dish soap with warm water.
  2. Using a sponge, gently rub the stained area with the soapy water.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix a tablespoon of white vinegar with a teaspoon of baking soda. Stir until it forms a paste.
  4. Apply the paste to the stained area.
  5. Using a soft cloth or brush, gently scrub the area in a circular motion.
  6. Rinse the paste off with cold water.
  7. Allow the dress to air dry.

Additional Tips

  • Spot test an inconspicuous area of the dress for colorfastness before applying any of the solutions.
  • If the stain persists, you can also try rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or lemon juice. Just make sure not to leave any of these solutions on the fabric for too long or it could damage or discolor the fabric.
  • As a precaution, it is always best to take the dress to a professional dry cleaner.
