Step 1: Dab the Stain Gently

The first step in removing toothpaste stains is to dab the stained area gently with a damp cloth or paper towel. This will help to remove any excess toothpaste that has not yet dried and hardened.

Step 2: Mix a Solution of Vinegar and Water

Once you have removed the excess toothpaste, mix up a solution of white vinegar and water. Use a ratio of one part vinegar to three parts water. Dip a cloth or sponge in solution and then blot the stain gently.

Step 3: Wash with a Detergent

Once the stain has been blotted with the vinegar solution, it's time to wash the leggings. Pretreat with a laundry detergent that has been designed for removing tough stains, such as Shout or Resolve. Submerge the leggings in warm water and allow them to soak for at least fifteen minutes. Once soaking time has passed, wash as you normally would.

Step 4: Dry and Check for Residue

After washing, allow the leggings to air dry and then inspect for any remaining residue from the toothpaste. If stain is still visible, repeat steps two and three until the stain is gone.

Conclusion

Cleaning toothpaste stains from leggings doesn't have to be a daunting task. With a bit of vinegar, a laundry detergent specifically formulated for tough stains, and a little patience, you can say goodbye to those pesky toothpaste stains once and for all.
