What You’ll Need

  • Clean water

Steps to Take

  2. Moisten a soft cloth with the soapy solution and dab stain gently with the cloth. Do not scrub because this could damage the fabric.
  3. Rinse the area with clean water to remove soap and any residue from toothpaste.
  4. If the stain still remains, mix one tablespoon of white vinegar with one cup of warm water and using a clean cloth, gently dab the stain again.
  5. Afterwards, rinse area with clean water.
  6. If the stain is still visible, mix one tablespoon of ammonia with one cup of warm water. Again, use a clean cloth to dab the stain.
  7. Finally, rinse the area with clean water and allow it to dry naturally.

If the stain persists, it’s best to take your kimono to a dry cleaner for professional cleaning.
