What You’ll Need
- Clean water
- Mild bar soap
- Soft cloth
- White vinegar
- Ammonia
Steps to Take
- Mix two teaspoons of mild bar soap with two cups of warm water. Make sure the soap is completely dissolved.
- Moisten a soft cloth with the soapy solution and dab stain gently with the cloth. Do not scrub because this could damage the fabric.
- Rinse the area with clean water to remove soap and any residue from toothpaste.
- If the stain still remains, mix one tablespoon of white vinegar with one cup of warm water and using a clean cloth, gently dab the stain again.
- Afterwards, rinse area with clean water.
- If the stain is still visible, mix one tablespoon of ammonia with one cup of warm water. Again, use a clean cloth to dab the stain.
- Finally, rinse the area with clean water and allow it to dry naturally.
If the stain persists, it’s best to take your kimono to a dry cleaner for professional cleaning.
