If you have toothpaste stains on your jacket, don’t panic! The first step is to act quickly. If the stain has been left to set in, it will be more difficult to remove. To get started, gather the following supplies: liquid detergent, white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, and a soft cloth.

1. Apply Liquid Detergent

Apply a few drops of liquid detergent directly onto the affected area of the jacket. Gently rub detergent into the fabric with a soft cloth in a circular motion. Allow the detergent to soak for about 10 minutes.

2. Rinse With Water

Rinse affected area with lukewarm water until the detergent is completely washed away. Make sure to thoroughly rinse detergent so that no residue is left behind.

3. Blot With Vinegar Solution

Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a bowl. Dip a soft cloth into solution and gently blot the stain. This will help loosen and remove any remaining toothpaste residue.

4. Blot with Rubbing Alcohol

Once the vinegar solution is completely washed away, apply a few drops of rubbing alcohol onto the stain. Using a soft cloth, gently blot the stain. This will help break down toothpaste particles and lift stain from the fabric.

5. Wash Jacket

Finally, place the jacket in the washing machine and wash using the manufacturer’s recommended setting. Once the cycle is complete, dry the jacket as normal.

Following these five steps should help you get rid of those pesky toothpaste stains from your jacket. If stain persists, repeat the steps until the stain is fully removed.
