When fresh, toothpaste can leave behind a white residue on fabrics and leather goods; but, worse, once toothpaste has dried it can leave behind tough yellow stains that are much harder to remove. No matter what the circumstances, using too much or too little water or scrubbing too hard with a brush or sponge can make stain worse.
Steps
- Blot the stained area of your Fendi item with a piece of clean cloth. Use a light dabbing motion and don’t rub the stain.
- Mix one teaspoon of shampoo with a cup of warm water. Dip a soft cloth or sponge into soapy solution.
- Gently blot on the stain, rubbing in small circles, until the stain starts to lighten. Try not to scrub it at all.
- Allow the soapy water to dry for about an hour, then rinse area with a clean, damp cloth.
- If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 2-4 as needed.
- Finally, dab the area with a paper towel and allow it to air dry.
Tips & Warnings
- Always test the solution on an inconspicuous area of Fendi fabric or leather before using it on stain.
- Be sure to use a gentle shampoo so as not to damage the fabric or leather.
- Do not rub, scrub, or use harsh chemicals on the stain as they may cause further damage.
